Day 1: Arrival at Sonmarg (7,800 ft)

  • Assemble at Sonmarg, the starting point of the trek.
  • Acclimatization and briefing about the trek.
  • Overnight stay in tents amidst the lush meadows of Sonmarg.

Day 2: Trek from Sonmarg to Nichnai (11,500 ft) (11 km, 7-8 hours)

  • Begin your trek through dense forests, followed by vast meadows.
  • Cross the Nichnai Pass to reach the campsite.
  • Enjoy stunning views of cascading streams and mountain peaks.

Day 3: Nichnai to Vishansar Lake (12,000 ft) (12 km, 6-7 hours)

  • Trek through picturesque valleys with spectacular mountain views.
  • Camp beside the serene Vishansar Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters.

Day 4: Vishansar to Gadsar (13,750 ft) via Gadsar Pass (14 km, 8-9 hours)

  • Experience the thrill of crossing the highest point of the trek, Gadsar Pass.
  • Marvel at the breathtaking views of twin alpine lakes and wildflower meadows.
  • Overnight stay at the Gadsar campsite.

Day 5: Gadsar to Satsar Lakes (12,000 ft) (10 km, 6-7 hours)

  • Trek through lush landscapes dotted with streams and lakes.
  • Arrive at the Satsar campsite, surrounded by a cluster of sparkling alpine lakes.

Day 6: Satsar to Gangbal Lakes (11,500 ft) via Zaj Pass (12 km, 6-7 hours)

  • Pass through boulder fields and cross the Zaj Pass.
  • Reach the twin Gangbal and Nundkol Lakes, nestled at the base of Harmukh Peak.
  • Camp by the lakeside under a star-studded sky.

Day 7: Descent to Naranag (7,450 ft) and Departure (12 km, 6-7 hours)

  • Descend through forests and meadows to the Naranag village.
  • Bid farewell to the mountains and proceed for your onward journey.
